Elite Fencers Club offers camp sessions that combine focused fencing instruction with fun games, conditioning, and plenty of time on the strip.

Summer Camp Pre-Nationals — June 22–25 at Elite Fencers Club. Guest coach: 2017 NCAA Champion Cooper Schumacher. Focus on footwork, drills, situational bouting, and plyos/coordination. Register at elitefencersclub.com.

Overview

Build skills quickly in an immersive camp environment.

Camps are a great way for new fencers to get started and for experienced athletes to sharpen their skills between seasons.

  • Daily footwork, bladework, and tactical drills
  • Supervised bouting appropriate to age and experience
  • Games and conditioning to build agility and coordination
  • Discussion of rules, etiquette, and tournament structure

Who camps are for

Camps typically welcome both new and returning fencers. Groups are split by age and experience to keep instruction paced appropriately.

What to bring

  • Comfortable athletic clothing and clean athletic shoes
  • Water bottle and light snack
  • Fencing equipment if already owned; otherwise, club gear is available for beginners
